DIMECO has fitted 7 x die tapping units in a FLEXIPRESS in addition to all other required punching tools.
These 7 x die tapping units are fully operated by the numerical control of the line and can be programmed anywhere on the blank with a variable pitch.
This new concept allows the fully automatic production of punched and tapped blanks, from coil, with a press rate up to 80 SPM producing one post every 1.5 minutes.
(The previous method required 4 min. for turret punching and 20 min. for tapping).
